Shogun Japanese Buffet 将军宴

"sho" equals to commander, general or admiral
"gun" equals to troops or warriors.

Therefore

"Shogun (将軍)" means "General"
It is a military rank and historical title in old Japan during 1867.

At that time,

A Shogun's office is called as "Bakufu ( 幕府 )" in Japanese and "Shogunate" in English.

Besides,

"Shogunate" is also being describe as the government system under shogun,

there it comes with the term adopted by the English.
